TrackRival (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the TrackRival mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

2. Information We Collect

Information You Provide

• Account information: name, email address, and profile details provided during registration
• Vehicle information: year, make, model, trim, modification tier, tire compound, and power-to-weight data
• Lap time data: session times, track information, and performance records
• Social interactions: rivalry challenges, follows, and community activity

Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: device type, operating system, and unique device identifiers
• GPS and location data: collected during active lap timing sessions with your permission
• Usage data: app feature usage, session frequency, and interaction patterns
• Analytics data: crash reports and performance metrics

Third-Party Authentication

When you sign in using Google, Facebook, or Apple, we receive basic profile information (name, email, and profile picture) as permitted by those services and your privacy settings. We do not receive or store your passwords from these providers.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the App, including car classification, leaderboards, and rivalry features
• To match you with appropriate competitors based on car similarity, pace, and track overlap
• To generate leaderboard rankings and class standings
• To send push notifications about rivalry updates, event registrations, and achievement unlocks
• To detect and prevent fraudulent lap times or abuse
• To improve the App through aggregated, anonymized analytics

4. Information Sharing

We may share your information in the following circumstances:

• Public profile data: Your driver profile, garage, lap times, rivalry records, and achievements are visible to other users by default
• Service providers: Third-party services that help us operate the App (hosting, analytics, push notifications)
• Legal requirements: When required by law, regulation, or legal process

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data from Third-Party Timing Apps

When you import data from third-party timing applications (e.g., RaceChrono, Harry's LapTimer, TrackAddict), we store the imported lap time data within your TrackRival account. We do not share your imported data back to the originating service.

6. Location Data

GPS location data is collected only during active lap timing sessions and only with your explicit permission. You can disable GPS tracking at any time through your device settings. Location data is used to record lap times and identify the track you are driving.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data and lap time history for as long as your account is active. Rivalry records marked as “Legacy” are preserved as historical records. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information within 30 days, though anonymized aggregate data may be retained.

8. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and at rest. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access and receive a copy of your personal data
• Correct inaccurate personal data
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware of such collection, we will take steps to delete the information.
